Energy audits are conducted to analyze clients’ data in order to get to know their processes in detail. This is done by applying a systematic method involving the analysis of existing information, which is complemented with engineering calculations and specialized measurements.
Thisenergy-saving proposals, named“energy conservation measures” (ECMs) are presented in a report comprising a technical assessment that discusses in detail the economic and environmental benefits of the presented measures, thus enabling a strategic plan that focuses on implementing the ECMs in order to capitalize on savings.

Even though this energy efficiency ISO standard has only recently been adopted internationally, SEG Ingeniería has already become the leading implementer of the standard in our country, having executed it in prominent local companies from the industrial, commercial and service sectors.
Certification is obtained through the two bodies accredited in Uruguay (the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay, LATU and the Uruguayan Technical Standards Institute, UNIT).
The technical team of SEG Ingeniería teaches several courses on the ISO 50001 Standard in Uruguay and represent our country in the technical committees that discuss this standard.
