Last year marked the peak of fossil fuel-based power generation and ushered in a new era in which solar and wind energy are revolutionizing the global power sector. This year would mark the turning point as oil, coal and gas-based power generation would decline year by year from 2024. This exciting and promising panorama emerges from the “Global Electricity Review 2024” report recently published by EMBER, an independent energy think tank. This report presents some of the key findings of this report.
