One year after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the global energy landscape has changed dramatically. Although the conflict seems distant from a southern perspective and headlines about Europe dominate the news, emerging and developing countries have felt significant impacts. The International Energy Agency has indicated that “The world is in the midst of its first global energy crisis – a shock of unprecedented breadth and complexity”.
